What was your favourite childhood story about nature? The 2023 Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) STEM competition has officially launched, along with our book showcasing artworks from last year’s participants.
The competition invites students to draw, invent, or design in response to reading books from the Premier’s Reading Challenge booklist.
It focuses on science, technology, engineering, and maths, and – with the additions of sub-categories such as space and nature – have made it even richer and more enticing to schools and students.
Last year’s competition received almost 3,500 submissions, with the 10 winners and 24 runners-up having their artwork immortalised in a coffee table book called A Celebration of Science and Nature.
The book was a collaboration between the Premier’s Reading Challenge and Adelaide National Park City project. It was launched today along with this year’s competition.
Reading about nature is a great way to be involved in the Adelaide National Park City movement. You can keep helping your kids and family develop their understanding and curiosity about nature with books from the Premier’s Reading Challenge list.
